Despite the complex circuitry built into the unit, HDI features an elegant set of controls that allow musicians and engineers to dial in a record-ready sound with minimal tweaks. A level knob controls the HDI's input with immediate visual feedback from a responsive front panel meter. The Color knob lets you seamlessly blend ultra-clean tones with amp-style distortion and saturation, adding just the right amount of character. And the gravel of your instrument. A gentle opto-compressor can be activated to control peaks in the input signal, and a high-pass filter cleans up the excessively low frequencies added by the color control. Finally, the presence control emphasizes highs and high-mids, giving you the ability to penetrate your mix with impressive results.
