The HotShot DM1 is a simple passive footswitch that allows onstage performers to quickly redirect signals without interrupting the performance. Using the DM1 is easy. Connect a dynamic mic to the input and send the main his XLR output to the mixer. Then connect a cable from his second output on the DM1 to feed the shared intercom bus. As soon as you press the momentary footswitch, the signal going to the main outputs is muted and redirected to your monitoring system. This allows musicians to discreetly talk to other band members or discuss technical issues with the crew.When the footswitch is released, the system automatically returns to normal operation, allowing the show to resume normally.
