Higher Headroom in Stereo
Radial Engineering's J48 Stereo Phantom Powered Active Direct Box takes the popular J48 direct box and adapts it to stereo or dual mono sources. Made from durable 14 gauge steel for home stage or studio use. Its design results in a very neutral sound with little distortion to preserve the natural timbre of the instrument. A -15dB pad and 80Hz selectable high-pass filter allow you to work with louder sources and remove low frequency rumble when needed.
The J48 stereo requires 48V phantom power and uses a switching power supply that uses 48V for more headroom and less distortion. A polarity reversal switch can be used to fix polarity issues, while a ground loop helps eliminate hum.
