Attenuate and Split Signals With Ease
The LX-2 performs two functions: distributes the line-level audio signal and attenuates the level when needed. A superior Jensen transformer inside provides exceptional frequency response and phase coherence for the best possible sound quality, while isolating the two outputs from each other to eliminate hum and hum from ground loops. In situations where level adjustment is required, the LX-2's trim control allows you to dampen signals that are too warm. This allows you to use the mic preamps hard for color while tweaking the LX-2's level to avoid clipping the record jack inputs. Its steering angle adjustment is activated by a recessed "set it and forget it" switch; If attenuation is not required, simply turn this switch off to avoid inadvertent and unwanted level adjustments.
