Clean Gain Boost For Low-Output Microphones
The Radial McBoost is a high-quality microphone signal amplifier designed to boost the output signal of a dynamic microphone or low-power ribbon microphone to a level usable with mixing consoles and preamps. It can be used in applications such as recording, broadcasting TV, training, live streaming and other applications.
The 100% discrete Class-A design features a two-transistor JFET circuit that provides up to 25dB of gain with a 48V phantom power supply without noise, coloration or artifacts. Measuring each individual transistor, graded in sets for performance, the circuit is housed in a 14-gauge reinforced steel housing to protect it from external stresses.
Using standard 3-pin XLRs, the McBoost has three impedance settings to optimize response. Finally, McBoost boosts output to create more clarity, excitement and long cables, whether you're in the recording studio, live on stage or in broadcast environments.
