Multimedia DI For Live Sound Engineers
Radial Engineering's ProAV2 is a passive direct box designed for multimedia applications with an audio-video integrator in mind. The unit offers full two-channel stereo functionality and includes 1/4" for instruments and RCA, as well as 3.5mm jacks for consumer electronics and computers.
Custom toroidal transformers are used to handle exceptionally hot levels while maintaining linearity from 20Hz to 18.5kHz. The resulting smooth Bessel curve is warm and natural, making the AV2 particularly adept at handling loud digital sources.
Transformer isolation is an added benefit as it eliminates ground loops that cause audio and video hum or noise. The ProAV2 is ideal for events where full stereo functionality is required.
