Eye-opening Transparency and Clarity

The DPA 2028 Vocal Black Handheld Supercardioid Microphone is designed for the unique challenges of live stage performance. It can be used to capture audio and deliver transparent, natural vocals for live stage, theater, and broadcast applications.

The 2028 runs on 8V phantom power and its supercardioid capsule provides flat off-axis response. This gives the mic a very high gain before feedback while also making it very easy for engineers to deal with bleed from other nearby instruments. The capsule is fixed to a newly designed shock mount and cannot be disassembled. The pop filter is for the 2028 mic only.

Plus, on a live stage, the 2028 needs none (or very little) EQ, making it sound like you're standing next to a singer listening to them perform. This allows singers to use their voice as if the microphone didn't exist. Plus, sound engineers can spend their time shaping the sound experience instead of drowning it in artifacts.
