Secure Your Audio Connection Around Large Stages and Venues

Designed for use with the TX4L, the Radial Engineering Catapult RX4L is a snake that takes 4 channels of line level signals over Cat5/Cat6 cables and routes them to the 8 attached XLR jacks. Four of the XLR channels are direct outputs and the remaining four are isolated. This device is useful for live sound reinforcement applications as it allows live sound stage technicians to ensure high quality audio connections on large stages and venues using relatively inexpensive cables. Also suitable for system providers who can use Catapult in pre-wired networks to transmit audio in different rooms.

In addition to his XLR connector from Catapult, there are two RJ45 EtherCON connectors. One is a multi-channel input for use with the TX4L on the transmit side. Another is throughput, which can be implemented when routing signals to additional catapults.

Three different possible destination paths through the XLR bank and etherCON throughput allow audio to be split to multiple sources as needed. A ground lift switch helps eliminate noise problems on Cat5/Cat6 lines. A steel handle also makes it easy to carry, and four bumpers protect the Ethernet jack and ground lift switch from wear and tear.
