Professional musicians and recording engineers will be pleased with the Radial Engineering J48, a single-channel active direct box designed for active, battery-powered acoustic guitars and basses and intended for use in professional stages and recording studios.
This unit uses 48V phantom power to create a higher internal rail voltage to preserve the natural sound of your instrument, allowing the J48 to handle transients up to 9V without clipping. The result is more dynamic headroom and less square wave distortion. It features a merge switch to merge stereo instruments into mono, a ground lift, a -15 dB pad and a 180° phase reverse switch. It's made from solid 14-gauge steel and comes with a 3-year transferable warranty.
