Living in the Age of Backorders

ProAudio.com is continuing to operate, although, much like the rest of the world, in a much different way than before.  As of right now, our County declaration allows us to operate with no public access to maintain our phone, email, and website sales force.  As we do provide equipment to many different segments of essential services, and we have already moved a good portion of our staff to working from home, and will continue to move more, we imagine we will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.  We are grateful for all of you, customer or not, and hope you are staying safe.  We really want to be a resource for important supplies used to help in this physical distancing effort, hopefully to allow it to be a little less 'socially' distant in spite of the physical distance.

That said, we do want to address the fact that this crisis has created sudden drastic demands for equipment that had otherwise been moving at a more normal pace.  On top of that, much of the most reasonably priced versions of that equipment is produced oversees where it's slow to get resupplied, and often their factories have experienced shut-downs too.  So, there are MANY items on back order, ranging from computer ingest cards for video to low power FM transmitters.  We are trying to keep our website up to date with information on item availability and lead times, but with thousands of items available for drop-shipping from manufacturers, the information we can post to the website may run behind.  We would always encourage any customer looking for something that they see as critical to reach out to any company prior to purchasing to verify availability. 

This is where we can help if you allow us.  We are available via phone during our business hours (M-F 9-5 Central) and are very accustomed to finding out if a product is available.  You can also reach us at sales@proaudio.com for follow up outside of business hours.  On top of that, we spend a lot of our available time keeping track of various alternatives to hot items.  These alternatives may function slightly differently, have a different price point, or not be a brand you are familiar with, but by working with one of our Account Managers, we can help you form a solution to your problem.

Chances are, if you are a decision maker or one of the people determining how to meet a goal, we might have some insight for you on how other people have accomplished what you are trying to accomplish, how it's worked, pitfalls, and ways to optimize it for success.  Reaching out to us during the planning process may give you some alternatives to think about before getting set on a particular path.

Our overall message is that we are here to help in this time, we do have access to resources that can help you communicate, distribute messages, and avoid this physically distant time being quite so socially distant.
